T1 Chestnut Tree - crown reduction from 16m high to 13m high; and from 13m wide to 11m wide due to a previous limb having snapped out, causing danger to children in the playground. Some of the limbs are weighty and brittle so needs to be reduced to take stress off tree and limit chances of a limb falling into the playground. When removing the snapped limb, wounds and weak unions were spotted in the upper crown. Reducing the crown should lesson the strain on compromised wood.
