Sycamore tree (X) - Reduce the lateral branches overhanging the neighbour’s rear garden by approximately 6 to 7 metres. Terminate all lateral cuts approximately 1 metre short of the shared fence line. Retain a balanced, natural canopy shape by pruning back to suitable, growth-ensuring secondary branch junctions. Remove all deadwood, diseased, rubbing, and structurally crossing branches throughout the canopy to improve safety and health. Remove excessive ivy growth from within the crown to reduce wind-sail effect and open up the canopy for visual inspection. Sever the ivy stems at the base of the tree trunk to kill off remaining upper growth and suppress rapid re-growth. Tree pruned to maintain health of and shape.
