    PA25/4077 Submitted 12 Nov 2025 46m away

T1 – Yew (Taxus baccata) Tree located in the front garden. The stem base (root flare) is damaging the adjacent pavement. The soil level on the house side was raised many years ago, approximately 50 cm up the trunk. The tree is approximately 5 metres from the property and growing in a highly constrained position, enclosed by a brick wall. Proposed work: Fell to ground level. Justification: The tree’s proximity to the pavement and raised soil level has caused root disturbance and ongoing pavement damage. The location provides limited long-term potential for sustainable growth and continued pavement disruption is likely if retained. T2 – Holly (Ilex aquifolium) Tree located within approximately 2 metres of the house. It is not a mature specimen and has limited amenity value. Proposed work: Fell to ground level. Justification: The tree’s proximity to the building poses a risk of root interference with foundations and restricts maintenance access. Removal will prevent future structural issues and allow for more suitable replanting in an appropriate position. T3 – Leyland Cypress (× Cuprocyparis leylandii) Row of Leylandii in the rear garden currently around 8 metres in height. Proposed work: Reduce height to previous reduction points and trim back on the house side by approximately 2.5 metres to form a neat, formal hedge. Justification: Routine cyclical maintenance to manage height and spread, maintain clearance from the property, and retain the trees in good condition. Works will help reduce wind load and prevent excessive shading while preserving screening value.
