Planning application

Oakwood House Walpole Avenue Chipstead Surrey CR5 3PQ

Granted Reigate and Banstead 24/01705/TPO Tree Preservation Order

Works: Trees Small domestic

Read from the description, not a valuation. How we read the register

Permission granted. Work must normally begin within three years of the decision or the permission lapses.

Proposal

Oak tree - Reduce the height by 2m. Shorten the lateral limbs by 2m to significant growth points. The tree recently shed a big limb and this has left the tree with a very unbalanced form that is weighted towards the house. More significantly, upon a climbing inspection many old large wounds were discovered exhibiting decay cavities in limbs and the trunk.
