Planning application
4 Dovers West Dovers Green Road Reigate Surrey RH2 8DA
Works: Trees
Refused. Only the applicant can appeal, within the statutory time limit, and a revised scheme can be submitted instead.
Proposal
Three leaning Ash trees - Fell. The reason is that the trees are exhibiting signs of Chalara fraxinea which will soon render them structurally unsafe. All three trees lean towards and are within striking distance of the house.

24/02001/TPO Granted
4 Dovers West Dovers Green Road Reigate Surrey RH2 8DA
1.T1 -Ash(as per plan provided) -Remove single stem as highlighted in image and growing in direction of garden of No. 4 back to point of origin. 2.T2-Ash(as per plan provided)-Fell to ground level all stems. 3. T3-Ash(as per plan provided). Remove lowest branch as highlighted in the image. Reasons for the works. The works are necessary to restore an acceptable juxtaposition between the protected trees and the wider property and garden. The application seeks to remove those stems(T1)and trees(T2) and individual branches(T3) as illustrated, bearing down on the property. This approach is considered more sustainable and effective than selective crown reductions, with the outcome having no measurable negative impacts to the wider landscape, the public and amenity value enjoyed. The outcome of these works will be increased light levels to the garden and property, a lessening of the volume of seasonal detritus, and a reduction in the fear and concern felt by the householders.
