The aim of the reduction is to minimise the chance of failure and to keep the tree maintained at a reasonable size before a more drastic reduction may be needed in the future. The tree has been lifted to 60% of its height, canopy starting at 11m. The reduction will lessen the sail, whilst keeping the tree maintained at reasonable points before a more drastic reduction is required in the future. The reduction will also aim to create a more visually appealing shape, whilst maintaining a natural looking tree. All major deadwood of 25mm in diameter or larger to be removed from both trees.
