Proposal
Tree T1 Cedar - Reduce south eastern lateral which originates at 6m height to south east by up to 2.5m branch lengths to reduce over-extended form over existing structure and balance form. Reduce southern / south western crown by up to 1.5m branch lengths (maximum 50mm branch diameters) to reduce and balance with pruned form of northern crown, reducing not beyond previous reduction points. NOTE All pruning to be carried out to suitable branch unions with soft furnishing growth retained to give even and flowing canopy outline. JUSTIFICATION: South east leader at 6m height extends with over- extended form; decay from limb loss at 4m from main union - open cavity. Further cavity at 8m height within main stem; open cavity with limited occlusion. Generally pruning history includes - lateral spread reduction, accentuated to north / east - crown reduction to north of upper crown. Over extended to south / west in relation to historic works. Work shall balance tree and manage the structural defect highlighted.
