Tree T8 ? Common Lime (Tilia ? europaea) Tree T8 is a mature Common Lime positioned immediately adjacent to the property's dry-stone boundary wall. Evidence observed during the inspection indicates that the tree has contributed to inward movement of the wall towards the garden, most noticeably following recent winter weather and prolonged saturated ground conditions. The tree has previously undergone crown reduction to lessen excessive end-weight over the property; however, canopy regrowth has restored significant sail effect and loading. Given the observed wall displacement, the tree's size, and its proximity to the property, further pruning is unlikely to provide a satisfactory long-term solution. Removal is therefore recommended to eliminate the risk of continued structural movement and prevent further damage to the boundary wall while maintaining public and property safety. Tree T9 ? Common Lime (Tilia ? europaea) Tree T9 is another mature Common Lime that has previously been managed through crown reduction due to its proximity to the property and excessive canopy weight. The tree remains in good physiological condition but has regenerated a large, dense crown, increasing wind loading and mechanical stress on the stem and rooting system. A pollard to approximately 8 metres above ground level is recommended. Lime responds well to pollarding, and this work will significantly reduce sail effect, encourage vigorous regeneration, improve long-term structural stability, and retain the tree as an important landscape feature. Tree T10 ? Common Lime (Tilia ? europaea) Tree T10 is of similar age, size and condition to T9 and has also been previously managed. The canopy has regenerated substantially, resulting in increased wind loading and canopy weight. Pollarding to approximately 8 metres is recommended to reduce structural loading, minimise future risk, and establish a sustainable long-term management cycle. This approach will retain the tree while promoting hea

T1 Sycamore - Remove Reason: Due to concerns regarding the structural integrity of the twin-stemmed union, including a visible split within the bark at the union. T2 Ash - Remove Reason: The tree is showing signs of Ash Dieback and is significantly suppressed by the surrounding trees, including Sycamore and Norway Maple. G5 - 1 x Sycamore - Remove Reason: Due to concerns regarding the twin-stemmed union and suspected decay at the union. The tree is also located in close proximity to the neighbouring property. T3 Norway Maple, T8 Ash, T9 Ash, T10 Ash, G3 (4 x Sycamore), G4 (2 x Ash and 1 x Sycamore) and G5 (2 x Sycamore) - General Maintenance and Deadwood Removal Reason: To carry out general maintenance and remove deadwood, particularly from the Ash trees showing early signs of Ash Dieback. The works are intended to maintain the trees in a safe and manageable condition and help prolong their retention where reasonably practicable. G4 Sycamore - Reduction of Long Lateral Limb Reason: To reduce the length and weight of the lateral limb back to a suitable growing point, helping to restore a more balanced and appropriate crown form.

T1 Mature lime (Tilia sp.), approx. 18 m tall at 23 Lupton Drive. Fell to ground level. Remove all arising timber and brash from site. Grind the stump to below ground level (or as directed by the Council) and backfill with suitable material. Make good the ground on completion. No other trees are included in this application. Removal plan 1. A qualified, insured arborist will carry out the work in accordance with BS 3998:2010 Tree work ? Recommendations. 2. The crown will be dismantled in sections using rigging where required so that falling timber does not damage the property, neighbouring land, or the highway. 3. All dead, hanging and decaying wood will be removed as part of the dismantling process. 4. The main stem will be felled or section-felled once the crown is down. 5. The stump will be ground out to a sufficient depth to allow replanting or making good of the surface. 6. All waste wood, brash and grindings will be removed from site and disposed of responsibly. Infected material associated with Ganoderma will not be left on site. 7. Work will be timed to avoid peak bird-nesting season unless a pre-works check confirms no active nests. 8. The site will be left tidy, with any damaged turf or surfaces reinstated.
