Planning application

Refused Old Oak and Park Royal Development Corporation 210018PTC Works to a tree with a TPO

Works: Trees

Refused. Only the applicant can appeal, within the statutory time limit, and a revised scheme can be submitted instead.

Proposal

X2 Holm Oak: Fell A crown reduction to reduce wind loading and improve structural condition on the crown and reduce away from properties will almost definitely further reduce the trees physiological condition, pruning to the extent necessary to maintain the tree and abate a nuisance would not only diminishes the tree's overall aesthetics, but has serious negative repercussions for the tree's structural integrity and future maintenance. Trees are also situated on clay and due to the size of the trees there is a clear issue with subsidence, the trees are also asymmetrical and are heavily shading the garden restricting growth of grass and other plants whilst littering the ground with leaves and causing moss and algae build up on the building and garden, the trees overall structural condition and vigor is poor, the trees have clearly outgrown the location. Replanting of 18-20cm X2 Swamp Cypress and X2 Amelanchier ? grandiflora 'Ballerina' 12-14 cm, X1 Acer Griseum
