Tree 1 - Walnut Species: Walnut (Juglans regia) Recommended works: Prune the crown to provide approximately 1 metre clearance from the garage roof, while retaining a natural and balanced crown structure. Reason for works: The proposed works are intended to provide suitable clearance between the tree canopy and the garage roof while retaining the tree's natural form, structure and visual amenity. Pruning will be undertaken sympathetically and limited to that necessary to achieve the required clearance. Tree 2 - Yew Species: Yew (Taxus baccata) Recommended works: Crown lift the lower branches to provide approximately 2.5 metres clearance above ground level, while retaining a natural and balanced crown structure. Reason for works: The proposed works are intended to improve clearance beneath the canopy while retaining the tree's natural form, structure and visual amenity. Pruning will be undertaken sympathetically and limited to that necessary to achieve the required clearance. Main improvement The revised wording makes it clear that the previous crown reductions are no longer proposed. The works are now limited to targeted clearance pruning to the Walnut and a crown lift to the Yew, which better reflects the more sympathetic approach agreed.
