Number on Plan Description T8 Remove pollarded Lime. To prevent further damage and blockage by root ingress into sewer that runs within a few feet of the tree. [Original permission (Ref 16/02312/PWC) was to fell the tree, due to damage by roots to drains and sewers. A sewer in the drive, within a few feet of the tree, provides foul drainage for three properties including ours. Pollarding was undertaken in 2016 as an interim measure to see if it reduced sewer problems whilst retaining the tree. Further pollarding was undertaken in early 2021, with permission (21/00006/PWC)] T7 Remove branches of mature sycamore overhanging pedestrian access path/steps to front of house. Pigeons roost in these branches, depositing large amounts of excreta on to the path, making it slippery and unpleasant to walk on. Pressure cleaning of the path and side wall have to be undertaken regularly.
