[T1] [T2] [T3] Common Limes (Tilia x europaea) adjacent pool. To provide light to understory - Crown lift trees from boundary to 5.2m over garden, pool and outbuildings. For regular maintenance - Remove epicormic growth. Crown clean any dead, diseased, damaged or otherwise compromised branch-wood. [T4] Hazel (Corylus avellana) adjacent extension. To safeguard the integrity of the building - Reduce tree back to previous pruning points. Reduce crown to provide approximately 1.5-2.5m clearance from building and behind boundary partition. Shape remaining canopy to leave natural looking crown if feasible. [T5] Bay Laurel (Laurus nobilis) For Regular maintenance - Complete crown reduction by approximately 1/3rd of total height, shape sides to suit and blend new canopy height.

The process from here

This application is with Nottingham for determination. The council publicises it, consults neighbours and technical bodies where required, and weighs the responses against local and national planning policy.

The statutory target is eight weeks for most applications and thirteen for major development, though extensions of time are common. Comments carry most weight while the case is undecided, so check the council portal for the deadline if you want to respond.

About trees applications

How this application type works

Tree applications cover work to protected trees: those under a tree preservation order need consent for pruning or felling, and trees in a conservation area need six weeks written notice before work starts. The council assesses the amenity value of the tree and can refuse consent, approve it with conditions, or in conservation areas make a preservation order in response.

To fell two Katsuras between the buildings of 18 and 20. The trees have out grown the space for a healthy sustainable life span. Both are now brushing the rooves of number 20 and the roof and roof window of 18a causing noise in the bedroom when windy. Both trees are growing next to the (I believe) old Victorian wall dividing the properties and impacting on the integrity of its foundations. To reduce the conifers in the back garden to a hedge to the current lowest point to allow light into the rear of the garden again. To fell 2 self seeded yews too close to a healthy sycamore that is protected with a TPO . To fell a self seeded holly.
