The process from here

This application is with Nottingham for determination. The council publicises it, consults neighbours and technical bodies where required, and weighs the responses against local and national planning policy.

The statutory target is eight weeks for most applications and thirteen for major development, though extensions of time are common. Comments carry most weight while the case is undecided, so check the council portal for the deadline if you want to respond.

About trees applications

How this application type works

Tree applications cover work to protected trees: those under a tree preservation order need consent for pruning or felling, and trees in a conservation area need six weeks written notice before work starts. The council assesses the amenity value of the tree and can refuse consent, approve it with conditions, or in conservation areas make a preservation order in response.

T1 - Conifer - fell to ground level. Previously topped to gain more light to the driveway. It now overhangs and encroaches the drive, and has become too large for its location. Felling would open up the entrance to the tight up hill drive, making access easier. T2 - Conifer - fell to ground level. Starting to move the stone wall on the banking.

Tree as identified on the submitted plan. I believe it is an Oak tree? I have been advised by several tree surgeons that the tree / trunk in question is dead and it is best that it be totally removed as it will decay further and become dangerous and more difficult to remove. I purchased the house in June 2021 with the tree already severely cropped as in the submitted photo. My neighbour informs me the upper part of the tree collapsed into her garden.
