Repair and consolidation of How Hill Tower including improvements to enable access for visitors. The conservation works to the eastern extension to the tower include structural works and masonry repairs to the east gable, roof repairs, repair and refurbishment of decayed rainwater goods and replacement of decayed boarding to the windows and doors. Internal works include the consolidation of the decorative plasterwork and replacement of decayed timber lintels. The conservation works to the northern outbuilding include re-roofing, rebuilding of the south wall, a new gutter to improve drainage and replacement of decayed lintels and boarding to the doors and windows. Conservation works to the main tower and attached western stair include repairs to the roof, refurbishment and replacement of decayed rainwater goods, masonry repairs and investigation and repairs to the stone roof to the tower including removal of corroded iron cramps. Internally works include consolidation of plasterwork. The works to improve access to the building for visitors include installation of new shutters to the ground floor east window of the eastern extension to the tower, restoration of the stone balustrade to the west stair of the tower and installation of new guarding to door openings in the eastern extension and tower to replace the decayed timber boarding and protect visitors from steep drops.
