Works: Trees
Permission granted. Work must normally begin within three years of the decision or the permission lapses.
Proposal
Whilst previous approved application (DM/0293/21/TCA) was being implemented the tree surgeon completing the work found the remaining cherry trees to be in poor health and has recommended felling these trees as well. This application is to conduct remedial work to the remaining cherry trees in the back garden with potential for complete removal of the trees. Trees identified as 1, 2, 3 and 4 on the attached photographs. Other trees in the garden include: bay, apple, pear, plum, acer, ginkgo and magnolia

T1 Purple Plum: FellReason - because there are signs of decay at the abse of the tree therefore it is unsafeT2 Cherry 'Kanzan': FellReason - As I would like to widen my driveway and as it stands it will be in the way. But will plant another standard tree to replace the one I've taken out in a more suitable position.T3 Apple 'Bramley': FellReason - The tree is over-mature and has been woefully pruned by previous owners (unsightly) and I also have concerns about the roots getting into the foundation of the garage.

1 Green Acres Waltham Grimsby North East Lincolnshire DN37 0QG
am writing regarding a large spruce at 1 Green Acres, Waltham, DN37 0QG. The tree is very large and mature and is situated close to the property. Its dense canopy causes substantial shading and a significant loss of natural daylight to the house and garden. I would be grateful if you could confirm whether this spruce is covered by a Tree Preservation Order and, if so, provide the TPO reference and plan identifying the tree. I would also like to request that a Tree Officer inspects the tree and considers whether removal would be appropriate given its current size, proximity to the property and the significant shading it causes. I note that the Council has previously permitted the removal and reduction of TPO-protected trees at 4 and 5 Green Acres where shading and proximity to properties were relevant considerations, including application DM/0101/20/TPO at 4 Green Acres. If removal were considered appropriate, I would be happy to discuss suitable replacement planting in a more appropriate location.
