Proposal
Fibre telecoms cable to be span onto the building and attached at top of building underneath eaves. Then 80m cable on wall to be run down the eaves and across building following existing cable between ground floor and first floor windows. Cable will go along edges so as to not stand out. Cable will go round to extension building and go into it via a new drilled hole next to the internal comms cabinet.

What happens while it is decided
The process from here
This application is with Newcastle-under-Lyme for determination. The council publicises it, consults neighbours and technical bodies where required, and weighs the responses against local and national planning policy.
The statutory target is eight weeks for most applications and thirteen for major development, though extensions of time are common. Comments carry most weight while the case is undecided, so check the council portal for the deadline if you want to respond.
About heritage and listed buildings applications
How this application type works
Heritage applications concern listed buildings and conservation areas. Listed building consent is needed for works, inside or out, that affect the special interest of a listed building, and carrying out such works without consent is a criminal offence. The council weighs harm to the heritage asset against any public benefit of the proposal.
