Awaiting decision Newark and Sherwood 26/01437/TPO Trees

Works: Trees

Still open. Anyone can comment while the consultation period runs, and comments go to the council rather than to us.

Proposal

Undertake works to trees protected by Tree Preservation Order N282 on land at The Hollies, Winthorpe Road, Newark. Identified as - T3 - Horse Chestnut - Crown reduction all around of 1.5 meters. T4 - Cedar - - Branch needs to be removed back to the fork union. This would reduce the chance of catastrophic damage to the parent branch caused by a tear-out failure. Remove the lower portion of the forked branch, assess the stability of the remaining branch, reduce its length by 2-2.5 metre if it is felt that the branch is too exposed to be left.
