DM/2026/00791 Decided
Dol-wen A466 Wye Valley Hotel To Catchmays Court Tintern Monmouthshire NP16 7NX
We request an amendment to the window and door layout of the approved workshop and dwelling, including changes associated with revisions to the internal layout. This amendment relates solely to the building drawings, replacing drawings on pages 105-108 and 117-118. There are no changes to the location, height, dimensions, or external finishes of any buildings, nor to the overall scale or character of the approved scheme. As noted in the approved LVIA, the buildings will be screened from public and residential viewpoints; accordingly, the proposed amendment would affect views only from within the site. For completeness, we also note that the dwelling's ground floor construction has been revised from a suspended timber floor to an earthen (cob) floor laid on natural ground. This allows greater use of on-site subsoil, further reducing the dwelling's ecological footprint and improving thermal performance. As this change occurs entirely below internal floor level, it has no impact on the approved elevations, dimensions, or finished floor level relative to external ground level.
