Proposal

The proposal seeks to develop a new Sixth Form Centre on the site currently owned and occupied by Haberdashers' Monmouth Schools. The design proposal is for a new development connecting two existing buildings. Alongside the new build element, the proposal seeks to fully upgrade the facade and cladding to an existing block (Salter House) with a full ground-floor refurbishment. Further refurbishments to the Science and Library blocks will ensure they continue to support their current uses. In support of the new building and Sixth Form Centre, the proposal also puts forward the redesign of the landscape along the whole of Hereford Road and around the back of the buildings to provide external amenity areas for staff and students on site.
