Planning application
47 CAPEL HOUSE THE STREET CAPEL RH5 5LD
Works: Trees
Decided. The decision notice on the council portal carries the outcome in full, including any conditions.
Proposal
Lime Trees (CH01) Crown lift each Lime tree by up to 1.0 metre through the removal of the two lowest branches to improve clearance over the public footpath. Thereafter, undertake cyclical pruning of new growth extending over the public footpath by up to 0.3 metres at any one time to maintain pedestrian access and clearance. Elder Trees (CH04 & CH05) Remove one entire branch from each, previously coppiced, Elder tree where it is in direct contact with and growing into the perimeter wall, providing approximately 0.5 metre clearance from the wall (CH04). In addition, remove all deadwood throughout the crown (CH05). The proposed works include approximately 20% crown thinning of each Elder tree through the removal of dead and crossing branches. Cherry Trees (CH02 & CH03) Remove two entire branches from each, previously coppiced, Cherry tree: one branch growing into the perimeter wall to provide approximately 1.0 metre clearance from the wall (CH02), and one low-growing branch extending over the lawn to provide clearance for lawn maintenance (CH03). The removal of these branches will constitute approximately 20% crown thinning of each Cherry tree.
