26/00668/ENQT5D Status unknown
Street Record Church Lane Bottesford
The Leicestershire County Council (Forestry Dept) have instructed us to carry out some urgent work to a large Willow on Church Walk, Bottesford. I believe the tree falls within the conservation area but is not covered by a TPO. The Willow lost a large limb earlier in the year (sometime in March) and has now dropped another large limb which has left us all a little worried. We are planning to pollard the Willow to approx. 10m to remove the risk of any further limb failure. Could you please let me know if you are happy for us to carry out this work without putting in a formal application. This would be on the basis that it is classed as dangerous and would be exempt from the regs. I havent got any pictures to hand but I could get some if needed and send them over.
