Cathedral Garden Lodge St James Road LIVERPOOL L1 7AY
Works: Trees
Still open. Anyone can comment while the consultation period runs, and comments go to the council rather than to us.
Proposal
Poplar (T1) - I wish to fell this large tree because it produces excessive shade of both my house and my garden for large parts of the day. There used to be a row of poplars running along the boundary of St James Gardens with this being the final one. However, the Council felled the other poplars several years ago since they had grown too large and were moving the stonework around them. The remaining tree in my garden has got considerably larger in the 20 years that I have lived in my house. I have planted many other trees and bushes in my garden since I moved in including fruit trees (apples, pears, plums) and hedging (eg oak, hawthorn, yew) and others (holly, willow). I would replace the poplar with a smaller tree, for example a hawthorn.
