What refusal means

The process from here

The council refused this application for the reasons set out on the decision notice, which the council portal holds in full. Only the applicant can appeal a refusal; the time limit runs from the decision date and is shorter for householder schemes.

Refusal does not prevent a fresh attempt. Applicants often address the reasons for refusal and resubmit, so a refused scheme is not necessarily the end of proposals for the site.

About amendments applications

How this application type works

An amendment application changes a permission that already exists. Non-material amendments cover small adjustments with no wider effect, while minor material amendments, usually made by varying a condition, allow modest design changes without a fresh application. Anything beyond that needs a new permission, so the scope here is deliberately narrow.

Implied consent for lesser works, including original proposal) T2 Horse Chestnut - Remove tree to ground level. T3 Sycamore - Crown should be reduced to the east and the west by approx. 3 metres to give a 2 metre clearance from the buildings. Pruning cuts should be made to appropriate growth points, leaving no wound greater than 50 mm in diameter. Upper canopy is encroaching on neighbouring properties
