Awaiting decision Leeds 26/05005/TR Trees

Works: Trees

Still open. Anyone can comment while the consultation period runs, and comments go to the council rather than to us.

Proposal

A larch tree towers over the property at the rear garden. In recent storms a large neighbouring beech tree had come down and caused a wreckage which resulted in damages to a number of trees and property. The resident has concerns that this Larch tree will be next , and at worst fall on the house. We are requesting consent to fully remove the Larch tree.

T1 Beech: The proposed work is a 3m reduction to all aspects of the crown, this is lateral and vertical. The west reductions will create a 2m clearance to the property at 8 stairfoot close, the preference would be to reduced the crown by a larger amount on this side to create more clearance. The east reduction will create a 3.5m clearance from 1 stairfoot view.

There is only one large tree in my garden. I will get a tree surgeon to do the works rather than doing it myself. It is not a main branch, just a thin one that has sagged/growing downwards and will soon be at head height. I can provide photos of the tree and the branch in question.
