The process from here

This application is with Leeds for determination. The council publicises it, consults neighbours and technical bodies where required, and weighs the responses against local and national planning policy.

The statutory target is eight weeks for most applications and thirteen for major development, though extensions of time are common. Comments carry most weight while the case is undecided, so check the council portal for the deadline if you want to respond.

About this record

Reading the register

This page mirrors an entry on the statutory planning register that Leeds is required to keep. The published feed for this record does not state which type of application it is, which is common for older entries and for some council systems; the register entry on the council portal will say, alongside the case officer and any consultation dates.

Every planning application follows the same broad path: submission, validation, publicity, then a decision by officers or committee. Our guide to planning application types explains the common types and what each can approve.

Single storey rear extension NON MATERIAL AMENDMENT to 21/08116/FU We gained full planning approval for a rear extension in 2021 (21/08116/FU). The rear extension comprised two elements: Building of Home Office in the garden. Building a kitchen extension into the garden. We notified Leeds City Council on 23/2/2022 that we had commenced work on the development. The Home Office part of the development was completed in 2022. You can see the completed home office on the attached google maps image as per the planning application 21/08116/FU. Work on the kitchen extension has not yet commenced. We are now looking to commence works on the kitchen extension, however, we would like the kitchen extension to have a larger footprint - so that it is the same distance into the garden as the home office. This means that the kitchen extension would extend 1.5m further into the garden, than set out in planning application 21/08116/FU. I attach an amended version of the plan which shows the revised architects plan to illustrate the variation from the original plan approved in 2021, with the extended kitchen extension into the garden. The amendment also moves the location of the rear door from the front to the side, towards the home office and includes an open porch over the front door.
