What happens while it is decided

The process from here

This application is with Leeds for determination. The council publicises it, consults neighbours and technical bodies where required, and weighs the responses against local and national planning policy.

The statutory target is eight weeks for most applications and thirteen for major development, though extensions of time are common. Comments carry most weight while the case is undecided, so check the council portal for the deadline if you want to respond.

About this record

Reading the register

This page mirrors an entry on the statutory planning register that Leeds is required to keep. The published feed for this record does not state which type of application it is, which is common for older entries and for some council systems; the register entry on the council portal will say, alongside the case officer and any consultation dates.

Every planning application follows the same broad path: submission, validation, publicity, then a decision by officers or committee. Our guide to planning application types explains the common types and what each can approve.

T1 Copper Beech - Reduce the crown by about 1.5m all around, removing any regrowth from the previous reduction. Ensure enough growth remains to avoid impacting next year's development. TPO2025_101 SERVED T2 Betula Jacquemontii - The tree needs to be removed to ground level, with the stump ground out. It's a mature specimen but has become a nuisance due to its location between two properties. Its branches are damaging the render and roof tiles of No. 5 Wayside Crescent. Tree reduction isn't a viable option because there are no suitable reduction points, and it would only lead to more regrowth and potential rot. NO OBJECTION PLEASE READ OFFICER REPORT AVAILABLE ON LCC PUBLIC ACCESS USING THE TR REFERENCE OR SITE ADDRESS TO SEARCH.

T1 - ASH Tree that is our boundary with neighbour. Too tall and needs a crown reduction . ASH WITH SIGNIFICANT ASH DIEBACK. NO OBJECTION TO FELL. T2 CHERRY- Tree too close to the house which is causing a problem with bird droppings and flies. Its also getting too close to the roof of the house which could lead to squirrels entering the roof space. Remove to ground level. OVER LIFTED AND PREVIOUSLY TOPPED POOR SPECIMEN.
