They recognise that in order to allow direct light into their garden they would need to reduce the sycamores more significantly which they have been persuaded against. The trees are in good health and have been pruned back to the same unions on a regular basis for the last 20 years and they would like to continue to do so to keep the height in check (at cost to them) becasue they value the trees.
