Proposal
G1 Large leylandii hedge - Reduce in height by 20ft, from 40ft to 20ft and prune the side back as much as possible keeping them green - The hedge has become excessively tall and unmanageable for a domestic setting. The proposed reduction will restore it to a more suitable size for a residential garden, making future maintenance practical. Works will improve light levels within the garden and reduce shading to neighbouring properties. The intention is to retain a healthy, green boundary hedge in keeping with the character of the area. T1 Fir - Reduce in height by 10ft, from 30ft to 20ft - Alleviate shading and light loss to the garden and adjacent property. Retain the tree?s natural form and amenity value within the conservation area while managing its growth appropriately for its setting.

What a grant of permission means
The process from here
Permission has been granted, usually subject to conditions listed on the decision notice, some of which must be discharged before work starts. The decision notice on the council portal sets out exactly what was approved.
Work must normally begin within three years of the decision or the permission lapses. Neighbours cannot appeal a grant; challenging one means judicial review of how the decision was made, within tight time limits.
About trees applications
How this application type works
Tree applications cover work to protected trees: those under a tree preservation order need consent for pruning or felling, and trees in a conservation area need six weeks written notice before work starts. The council assesses the amenity value of the tree and can refuse consent, approve it with conditions, or in conservation areas make a preservation order in response.

T1 - Remove. Tree is over 25ft tall now and the tree is killing off/impacting on my beech hedge which runs the length of my rear garden and the branches are now starting to protrude over onto my neighbours garden. My concern is that it will keep growing and would create a future risk due to the height.
