What a grant of permission means
The process from here
Permission has been granted, usually subject to conditions listed on the decision notice, some of which must be discharged before work starts. The decision notice on the council portal sets out exactly what was approved.
Work must normally begin within three years of the decision or the permission lapses. Neighbours cannot appeal a grant; challenging one means judicial review of how the decision was made, within tight time limits.
About trees applications
How this application type works
Tree applications cover work to protected trees: those under a tree preservation order need consent for pruning or felling, and trees in a conservation area need six weeks written notice before work starts. The council assesses the amenity value of the tree and can refuse consent, approve it with conditions, or in conservation areas make a preservation order in response.

T1, T2 and T3 - branches have overgrown and are now extending over the roof. I would like to have these trees trimmed and their height reduced by approximately 20-30% to mitigate the risk of damage and improve safety.

3 Sycamore Close Woodhouse Leeds LS6 2HE
G1 x9 Sycamore - 8 of these appear to be healthy however. A crown lift to suitable growth points lifting the branches away from the house and away from the car parking would be ideal, 6 metres from ground level and possibly a thin out of the canopy over the rear garden to allow some more light in, 10-15% of the overall crown to be thinned on each tree There is 1 tree in particular that seems to be in decline. It has a dry patch at the bottom of the tree and a pocket in a crevice of water that is at about chest height, and is about 4 inches deep. my concern about this one tree is that it has such a severe lean towards their house. Possible removal.

Flat 1 1 Grosvenor Terrace Headingley Leeds LS6 2DY
T1 Largest Sycamore that has died. Tried to come into leaf this spring but gave up in early June. T1 will be monolith and left as a habitat pole for ivy, insects, and birds. T2 Large Sycamore in ill health due to rot pocket 15ft up the stem at first major union. T2 will be a full dismantle, stump grind and replant of appropriate species. Perhaps a eucalyptus or something native that can handle shading from larger mature trees. Silver birch or field maple perhaps. Both Trees need dismantling due to proximity of the road and to protect pedestrian safety.
