Planning application

Lawns Lane Farnley Leeds LS12 5ES

Granted Leeds 25/05444/LATR Local Authority Tree Works

Works: Trees

Permission granted. Work must normally begin within three years of the decision or the permission lapses.

Proposal

T01937 Sycamore - Remove tree. Significant dieback of canopy. Large diameter (>25 mm) deadwood can be seen in the outer canopy. Deadwood in canopy over target. T 01934 mature Beech (identified as an Ash in the report) - Remove tree as it shows the fruiting bodies of Giant Polypore (fungal infection) at the base of the tree (identified in report). This tree is now completely dead and overhangs the practice nets on the adjacent cricket ground. This tree was surveyed in winter and likely died over the winter which is why it was not identified as dead in the report. T01932 is a mature Ash (identified as a Norway Maple in the report) - Remove tree. Shows fruiting bodies of Artists Fungus at the base of the tree (identified in report) and significant thinning of the canopy potentially due to Ash Dieback infection (this would not have been easily identified at the time of the report as the tree was surveyed not in leaf).
