Proposal
Details of the Protected Tree(s): One Bird Cherry tree (Prunus padus), identified as T358, located within the grounds of Sandon House, Tilson Gardens. The tree is protected by virtue of its location within Area A1 of Tree Preservation Order No. 456 (2007), which applies to all trees of whatever species within the designated area. Tree Works Description Submitted: T358 Bird Cherry FELL to Ground Level and replaced with the same species. This will be done in the coming planting season. The tree has an approximate diameter at breast height (DBH) of 33 cm, an overall height of approximately 10 m, and a limited crown spread of approximately 1.5 m. The tree is in very poor condition with poor structure and declining physiology. It has been in decline for a number of years, producing dead branches on an annual basis. Exudations of sap are present on the lower stem, indicating physiological stress. The tree now requires removal.
