The Birches Murley Moss Lane KENDAL LA9 7NL

Granted Lake District National Park 2026/0015/TPO Tree Preservation Order

Works: Trees

Permission granted. Work must normally begin within three years of the decision or the permission lapses.

Proposal

South Lakeland DC TPO No 71 1989 - Felling of two low quality trees identified as group 1 (1G) in the accompanying Pre-development Arboricultural Report. Tree 1 = Scots Pine and Tree 2 = Norway Spruce. Both trees have been assessed as BS 5837 retention category C. The reason for the proposed felling is to facilitate development of a rear kitchen extension to a private house. Proposed replanting of Standard size (8-10cm girth) trees; 1 Himalayan Birch and 1 Sweet Gum in the rear of the garden (as recommended in the arboricultural report, plan 3). The plans in the arboricultural report show all the info that is required in a sketch plan, so an additional sketch has not been submitted.
