Prune 1 x Ash (rear)Hello again, Angus.I have gone back to the scaffolding designer and we have just made a site visit to 18 Harcourt Terrace to look at the base of the tree.The scaffolding designer thinks it should be perfectly possible to work around the tree without making the cut that I suggested in my previous marked up photo.In order to make this happen we will need to cut off the small branches which have leaves on them around the big branch where I previously showed the cut line, but all the main branches will be left as they are.I am attaching a photo taken looking up from the base showing which part we will need to remove the foliage in.Does this seem a more reasonable approach to the welfare of the tree?
