Withdrawn Isle of Wight 21/01402/TW Tree Works to TPO

Works: Trees

Withdrawn before a decision, so it carries no planning weight. A revised scheme can be submitted at any time.

Proposal

**These trees do not appear as protected but as there are TPO trees on the site, the owners are seeking council confirmation of their planned future works** T1; Sycamore (Acer pseudoplatanus) - Dismantle. Tree is approximately 15' tall and is crowded by surrounding trees offering little to the landscape. T2; Ash (Fraxinus excelsior) - Dismantle. Tree is showing signs of Ash Dieback (Hymenoscyphus fraxinea) and is in close proximity to the property and driveway. T3; Pear (Pyrus) - Reduce height approximately 20% and crown clean. Tree has had previous failure and trees leverage is excessive. T4 and T5; Lawson Cypress (Chaemycyparis lawsoniana) - Dismantle. These 2 trees have severe dieback as are densely shaded. T6 and T7; Broom Tea Tree (Leptospermum scoparium) - Trim new growth as part of general maintenance.

T4; English Oak - Reduce lower lateral over-extending branches back to suitable growth points up to 2-3m from branch tips; remove downward growing branches to prevent further leveraging. Reason: Lower canopy has become unbalanced and leaning more towards the client's property. By reducing the large lateral limbs and removing downward growth we hope to promote re-balancing and take off some weight to prevent leveraging.
