Works: Trees
Permission granted. Work must normally begin within three years of the decision or the permission lapses.
Proposal
T1 - Horse Chestnut - Fell and grind. The tree is in terminal decline - it borders with the footpath which is a danger to the public. T2 - Lime - Crown thin lower branches and crown lift up to 2.5m over the footpath. Reduce the height by a third. This sapling overhangs the footpath which is below 2.5m. The Lime will benefit from formative pruning. T3 - Horse Chestnut - Crown reduce by 2.5m. Sever the Ivy and cut back the Ivy to the stem. All of the Horse Chestnut trees have outgrown their location and overhang the house and the entrance road into the college. These trees will benefit from a crown reduction to alleviate weight and prevent limbs from failing in the future. T4 - Horse Chestnut - Crown reduce by 3m. Sever and cut back the Ivy to the stem. All of the Horse Chestnut trees have outgrown their location and overhang the house and the entrance road into the college. These trees will benefit from a crown reduction to alleviate weight and prevent limbs from failing in the future. T5 - Horse Chestnut - Crown reduce by 2.5m and sever the Ivy. All of the Horse Chestnut trees have outgrown their location and overhang the house and the entrance road into the college. These trees will benefit from a crown reduction to alleviate weight and prevent limbs from failing in the future. T6 - Horse Chestnut - Crown reduce the height by 2.5m and reduce sides back to previous (approx. 1.5m). All of the Horse Chestnut trees have outgrown their location and overhang the house and the entrance road into the college. These trees will benefit from a crown reduction to alleviate weight and prevent limbs from failing in the future.

2 Monarch Close Rainham RM13 8SQ
Tree T1. We would like to remove of this tree. It has has a history of problems and it was part of a group of tree's that have all failed and been removed over the years. Pollarding was granted last year due to its size and the fact that a large part of the tree had broken off due to a fungal bracket. It was reported to me after pollarding that the tree had a large cavity just below the main union , approximate size unknown but and least a depth of 300mm. This was a year ago and I have noticed today that there is a fungal bracket coming out of this cavity, I am concerned that it will break and damage neighbours sheds.
