Awaiting decision Hart 26/01826/TPO Trees

Works: Trees

Still open. Anyone can comment while the consultation period runs, and comments go to the council rather than to us.

Proposal

T1. Dawn Redwood - Removal (to include the stump being ground out) It is recommended that the tree be removed and replaced with an appropriately selected tree of suitable ultimate size and form. Removal would eliminate the increasing risk associated with the tree's continued decline and provide an opportunity to establish a replacement tree that can contribute to the site in the longer term." "Based on the current structural assessment and judged level of risk it is recommended that the tree is removed in its entirety as soon as practicable, ideally within 6-9 months." 2. To plant, in the failing Dawn Redwood location (T1) and in suitable soil/compost, a Betula Utilis Jacquemontii "Snow Queen" Tree. Awarded RHS Award of Garden Merit. Size to be purchased 8-10 cm girth, 3-3.5 metres in 28L pot. Final size 7 x 3.5 metres in 20 years. (T1) is indicated in the site plan/sketch plan on page 5 of the enclosed report.
