Works: Trees
Still open. Anyone can comment while the consultation period runs, and comments go to the council rather than to us.
Proposal
There is a crab apple in the back garden which has been reduced around 2 years ago, I'm suggesting a 1.5m reduction of over extending branches to keep the tree balanced and prevent any branches snapping out. There is also a pittosporum that will be lightly trimmed

There is a pear tree in the back garden that has been reduced around 2 years ago, the regrowth is getting larger and pears are adding extra weight in the fruiting months. Im suggesting to reduce the tree by about 1.5m to the previous growth points.

Tl - Lime tree in rear garden: The tree currently dominates a large part of 14 Leaside Avenue's rear garden and three other neighbouring rear gardens. The tree is circa Gm from ground to first fork, with overall current tree height of circa 12m, and with a canopy of circa llm across the gardens of four houses. Description of intended works: Crown lifting and pollard to first fork (excessive shading & avoidance of roots causing subsistence to house).

Dawn Redwood. Tree T1 on Sketch Plan. Arboriculturist Conclusion "Given the presence of cracks in the wall of adjacent buildings, and the close proximity of the tree to the buildings, it is recommended that T1 is removed to ground level." Engineer's Conclusion "the best course of action to avoid any further movement on the existing building would be to remove the existing tree and underpin the existing foundation"

Pembury House Nursery, Lansdowne Road, Tottenham, London, N17 9XE
Ginkgo (T1) - fell. Reason: this is a female tree, that drops fruit all over the nursery playground. The children try to eat them, it gets into their clothes, shoes, hands, and all over the class room, creating an extremely unpleasant environment for the children and staff. Replant with another deciduous tree with similar potential size canopy (eg. Norway maple) Sycamore (T2) - Reduce the height of the tree by 4m. Reduce lateral branches in line with this (up to 2.5m). Reason: There is some decay at the base of the tree on the east side, spanning 40% of the circumference of the tree. The bark is flaking from ground level up to 1.5m, and use of the sounding mallet indicates the dysfunctional wood extends at least to the same height. The tree has a full crown, but has had selective branch length reductions in the past. The crown overhangs the nursery playground and neighbouring parking area. Lime x2 (T10 & T11) - Crown raise to 4m, removing epicormic growth. Reason: to remove the branches that touch the shelter to prevent damage.
