Planning application

Flat 1, 60 Shepherds Hill, Hornsey, London, N6 5RN

Granted Haringey HGY/2025/2966 Works to trees in Conservation Area

Works: Trees

Permission granted. Work must normally begin within three years of the decision or the permission lapses.

Proposal

T2 – Bay (Laurus nobilis) Proposed works: Crown lift to 4 metres above ground level. Reduce overall height by approximately 4 metres and lateral spread by up to 2 metres. Selective pruning throughout to create a smaller, well-balanced form. Tree has become too large for its setting, casting excessive shade and dominating the garden. Works are proposed to allow more light into the garden and maintain the tree at a suitable size for its location, in line with good arboricultural practice.

T1 - Ash - Crown reduction by 3m in height bringing lateral growth to shape by 1.5m. Removal of all major dead wood, leaving the tree a standing height of 9m. Reducing the crown by approximately 3 meters in height and 1.5 meters laterally will help reduce overall crown weight and wind loading, while maintaining a balanced and proportionate crown.
