T1 - Sycamore. Reduce crown by 1-2 metres. The tree has co-dominant stems and at the point where the trunk forks the union is compressive. Given that it overhangs the residents garden and adjacent allotment plots we felt it prudent to specify a reduction to mitigate this structural weakness. The tree has not been reduced previously; this would be a maiden crown reduction.

A silver birch tree in front garden . Damaged when contractors across the rd moved a large machine on site . Pictures enclosed . A 2- 3m crown reduction to the height is more appropriate to take some weight out of the tree and reduce the sail area (as marked out with the red line on photo dated 09.07.2026).

T1 - Ash - Crown reduction by 3m in height bringing lateral growth to shape by 1.5m. Removal of all major dead wood, leaving the tree a standing height of 9m. Reducing the crown by approximately 3 meters in height and 1.5 meters laterally will help reduce overall crown weight and wind loading, while maintaining a balanced and proportionate crown.
