Rear Garden: T1: Mature Ash: Fell to ground level and treat with systemic herbicide. Reason: Basal dysfunction has been identified. S1: Lilac - (adjacent terrace): Fell to ground level but preserve secondary low growth. Reason: Low amenity value. The tree has been in decline for several years and does not appear to be significantly regenerating

Front Garden: T1: Mature Chinese Privet: Approximately 4.00m. Reduce crown by approximately 1.20m. Trim to tidy and lift over the footpath. Reason: General maintenance to control encroachment. Rear Garden: T2: Mature Ceanothus - (right hand side of the garden): Approximately 5.00m. Reduce by approximately 1.20m all round. Reason: General maintenance to manage at reasonable dimensions. T3 & T4: 2 x Chinese Privets: Approximately 3.00-4.00m. Reduce both by up to 1.00m to shape and tidy. Reason: General maintenance. T5: Elder - (growing directly beneath a larger TPO Ash): Approximately 4.00-5.00m. Fell to ground level. Reason: To help relieve overcrowding and some nuisance to residents in the block behind. T6: Ceanothus - (left hand side of the garden): Approximately 5.00m. Tip prune over extended branches back into main crown structure up to approximately 80cm. Reason: General maintenance to form amore uniform crown line and help induce lower growth.

T1 Fraxinus excelsior (Ash) - Height 16m, Diameter 40cm - Overhangs road - Crown reduce by 30% to remove 1-1.5m all round the crown and the reason is just to keep it at a more manageable size. T2 Fraxinus excelsior (Ash) - Height 25m, Diameter 60cm - Cut back to boundary. We propose to cut back towards the boundary removing a max of 1-2m to ensure the crown is not left unbalanced

Rear Garden: General maintenance: T2: Mature Ash: Approximately 18.00m. Remove dead wood throughout the crown which is over 30mm in diameter or 1.00m in length. Reduce crown back to previous and most recent points of reduction up to approximately 2.20m. Thin density up to 20%. T3: Mature Sycamore: Approximately 14.00m. This tree is in decline. The canopy is now less than 30% leaf coverage and branches are blackening. Decline may be attributed to Sooty bark disease. Section fell to approximately the height of the fence (2.00m). T4: Mature Ash - (top left hand corner): Approximately 16.00m. This tree overhangs neighbouring property. Remove dead wood throughout crown. All dead wood over 30mm in diameter or 1.00m in length. T5: Large Laurel - (on right hand boundary): Approximately 6.00m. This tree has suffered greatly from heat stress. Several stems are now totally dead. Reduce crown by up to approximately 1.50m. Remove major dead wood. (Works to T1 Hornbeam will be considered separately under tree works application reference HGY/2026/2528, as this tree is protected by a TPO)

Reduce crown back to previous and most recent points of reduction, reducing approximately 0.50-1.50m of regrowth. (Works to all other trees will be considered separately under Section 211 Notice reference HGY/2026/2529, as those trees are not protected by a TPO but are located within a Conservation Area)

Dawn Redwood. Tree T1 on Sketch Plan. Arboriculturist Conclusion "Given the presence of cracks in the wall of adjacent buildings, and the close proximity of the tree to the buildings, it is recommended that T1 is removed to ground level." Engineer's Conclusion "the best course of action to avoid any further movement on the existing building would be to remove the existing tree and underpin the existing foundation"

HGY/2026/2127 Granted
Pembury House Nursery, Lansdowne Road, Tottenham, London, N17 9XE
Ginkgo (T1) - fell. Reason: this is a female tree, that drops fruit all over the nursery playground. The children try to eat them, it gets into their clothes, shoes, hands, and all over the class room, creating an extremely unpleasant environment for the children and staff. Replant with another deciduous tree with similar potential size canopy (eg. Norway maple) Sycamore (T2) - Reduce the height of the tree by 4m. Reduce lateral branches in line with this (up to 2.5m). Reason: There is some decay at the base of the tree on the east side, spanning 40% of the circumference of the tree. The bark is flaking from ground level up to 1.5m, and use of the sounding mallet indicates the dysfunctional wood extends at least to the same height. The tree has a full crown, but has had selective branch length reductions in the past. The crown overhangs the nursery playground and neighbouring parking area. Lime x2 (T10 & T11) - Crown raise to 4m, removing epicormic growth. Reason: to remove the branches that touch the shelter to prevent damage.
