Planning application

6 Stocks Road Scraptoft Leicestershire LE7 9TE

Granted Harborough 19/01964/DDD Dead Dying Diseased Trees

Works: Trees Small domestic

Read from the description, not a valuation. How we read the register

Permission granted. Work must normally begin within three years of the decision or the permission lapses.

Proposal

T1 Crataegus monogyna. Approx 5m in height, 22cm DBH. Located on western border in rear garden of 6 stocks road. Twin stem overgrown hedging plant showing poor form due to phototropic growth. Specimen over shadowed by mature Poplus nigra italica. Excess load added by ivy having successfully consumed 90% of crown. In my opinion, risk of failure is high due to shallow angle of growth away from surrounding trees, restricted growth on the stem due to choking ivy, excess weight in crown from ivy. Failure will lead to damage to neighbours fruit tree and fence. Applying for 5 day notice to avoid damage to neighbours garden over the Christmas period
