What happens while it is decided
The process from here
This application is with Great Yarmouth for determination. The council publicises it, consults neighbours and technical bodies where required, and weighs the responses against local and national planning policy.
The statutory target is eight weeks for most applications and thirteen for major development, though extensions of time are common. Comments carry most weight while the case is undecided, so check the council portal for the deadline if you want to respond.
About full applications applications
How this application type works
A full application seeks permission for a complete, detailed proposal in one go: siting, design, access and landscaping are all fixed at this stage. It is the standard route for new buildings, conversions and changes of use. The statutory target is eight weeks for smaller schemes and thirteen weeks for major development, though complex cases often take longer by agreement.

Installation of Solar Panels to the property roof The solar panels will be connected to a 25 kW three phase inverter. The panel array will be connected to separate MPP Trackers** in order to effectively optimise the orientation of the building and minimise the effects of any shading elements. The batteries and other controls will be located in the electrical switch room and all cable, containment and mounting materials will be provided. The four 5.8 kWh batteries will be configured in an â¿¿AC Coupledâ¿¿ setup and would be charged from a designated charge controller. We estimate that the installation will be completed in approximately 3-4 days by our installation team. We may be required to store some components on site during the work, providing this can be done securely and without undue inconvenience. We will erect scaffolding at eaves height and edge protection where required to provide safe access to the roof in order to complete the installation. We will notify the District Network Operator (DNO) of the installation to ensure it is correctly registered on the network.
