Roof Timber repair, The proposal is to repair a timber truss within the roof structure of the listed building by splicing in new timber. This method will ensure the truss is structurally sound while preserving the overall architectural integrity and historical significance of the building. Chimney Proposed reduction in height, The proposal is to reduce the chimney in height by approximately two meters as following a structural survey the existing chimney is leaning into the roof. The existing chimney is capped off and non-operational. Apply a liquid overlay roof system to two flat room areas to provide protection and waterproofing to the flat roofs. Remove redundant fire escape and infill metal doors with reclaimed bricks. Remove existing redundant metal fire escape and make good to render and mortar with like for like repairs. Remove existing fire door and frame, infill with reclaimed bricks from the property (from reduced chimney stack). Removal of a small skylight (not original fabric of the building) and making good to the roof using material to match the existing.
