Planning application
1B Drake Avenue Ringswell Park Exeter EX2 5QQ
Works: Trees
Permission granted. Work must normally begin within three years of the decision or the permission lapses.
Proposal
T1 - Apple Suggested Works: Fell to near ground level Rationale: Tree is leaning and is not worthy of retention G2 - Ash Suggested Works: Dismantle group of 6 trees in stages to near ground level Rationale: A declining group of Ash. Evidently there is a history of very poor pruning and significant strimmer damage at the bases of many of the trees; and in my opinion I believe that they have also succumbed to Ash Dieback Disease. T3 - Oak Suggested Works: Reduce western limbs by 2m, approximate diameter of cut 50mm; reduce lowest southern limbs by 1.5m & upper southern limbs by 2m, approximate diameter of cut 25mm. Rationale: Following the removal of G2, this Oak tree will suffer a changed level of exposure to it's western and southern aspects. These works are suggested to alleviate some of the loading on the tree and to maximise the chances of it's continued healthy growth.

19 Falkland Close Exeter EX4 5EZ
Oak tree on no mans land embankment which over looks garden of 18 Falkland Close, Exeter, EX4 5EZ. It has a large branch overhanging our garden. Tree surgeon Mitchell Tree Surgery has visited site and advised it needs to be removed. He says it is a large overhanging heavy limb which could cause considerable damage. Last year a large branch from a neighbouring oak next to It came down in a storm and caused damage. Our neighbours in number 18 and ourselves are concerned about this particular branch we wish to report to be removed. The tree itself has grown to 60 foot plus range and we all feel our houses are at risk. Sketch plan attached
