Proposal
Tree Preservation Order EL:19/33 - Pussy / Goat Willow - extract from report from arboriculturalist The Goat Willow is in a poor physiological condition, with 70% of the crown appearing to have died since bud burst. The tree appears stressed due to environmental factors and the lower stem is delaminated to some degree. The tree over sails the adjacent public footpath and property. There is a moderate target risk from detached deadwood and a potential over time for failure of the northern stem. The tree is protected by a Tree Preservation Order. Due to the condition of the Goat Willow, it is recommended that the tree is pruned heavily, removing the dead northern stem and reducing the remaining stem to a 2.5 metre pollard, retaining the lower healthy epicormic growth.
