Proposal
Tree Preservation Order EL:22/11 - T1 - mature Pine tree - situated in neighbouring garden. Tree has a height of approximately 2.8m and spread of approximately 18m. Proposed works are to remove low limb over driveway of No. 9, reduce further overlong branches extending over driveway by approximately 3-4m. These works are being carried out to give clearance from driveway, due to recent damage to vehicles in the driveway from falling Pine cones. These works will not affect the overall height and spread of the tree.

Tree Preservation Order EL:25/02 - T1 Scott's Pine in Rear garden-Fell Tree is in a very poor location, in very close proximity to the house and neighbours Driveway. Client has suspicions of tree causing subsidence. Prior to the Tree gaining a tree preservation order, the tree had started to get dismantled, with many of the lower branches "flush cut" to the main stem and also Spur marks to gain access into the canopy. There is a large Defect at the base on the house side of the tree, from where a section of the bark is removed and damaged the Cambium, to enable the friction/lowering device to be fitted. I imagine these defects may end up leading to decay or decline and due to the tree being within striking distance of there house and also the neighbours garage, it may become dangerous in the near future. Due to this, I would like to apply to Fell the remainder of the Tree and replant a suitable Replacement in a better position within the garden.

Tree Preservation Order EL:18/07 - T1 - Horse chestnut - Proposed Works: Crown lift over the roadside only to provide a minimum clearance of 5.2 metres above ground level. All pruning shall be limited to secondary branches where practicable and carried out in accordance with BS3998:2010 Tree Work Recommendations, with a maximum pruning wound diameter of 50mm. Reason for Proposed Works: Following a tree survey, it was identified that the crown over the carriageway has been subject to contact from larger vehicles in the past. The proposed crown lift will provide appropriate clearance for high-sided vehicles, reducing the likelihood of future vehicle strikes and preventing unnecessary damage to the tree, whilst retaining its long-term health and amenity value.
