Tree Preservation Order EL:09/13:Proposed Works: Selectively reduce lateral limbs overhanging the applicant's property by up to 3 m, targeting the longest and heaviest sections to alleviate end weight and reduce leverage on the main scaffold limbs. Pruning will follow BS 3998:2010 Tree Work Recommendations, maintaining a natural crown outline and good growth points. The works will rebalance the canopy, lessen mechanical loading, and improve long-term structural stability while retaining the tree's amenity and health.Justification for Works: The oak is a mature specimen displaying a pronounced lean and asymmetrical crown, with several large lateral limbs extending heavily over the applicant's driveway and vehicles. The crown is significantly weighted on the side facing the applicant's property, increasing mechanical stress on the primary scaffold limbs and contributing to structural imbalance. A large beech tree previously failed on the same site, falling onto the adjacent house. This has raised understandable concerns for both the tree owner and the neighbouring property owner regarding the potential risk of limb failure from this oak, particularly during high winds or adverse weather conditions.

East Molesey Kent Town Conservation Area - T1 - Lime tree on rear boundary - tree has a height of approximately 20 metres and spread of approximately 12 metres. Proposed works are to reduce crown by approximately 2-2.5 metres to previous pruning points, remove regrowth on main trunk to lift crown to a height of approximately 3 metres, leaving the tree with a height of approximately 17.5 metres and spread of approximately 8 metres. These works are being carried out to give clearance from pool house, maintain the tree at a reasonable size suitable to location by carrying out cyclical pruning and allowing light into pool area.

    34 Clive Road Esher Surrey KT10 8PS

Esher Conservation Area - T1 Leyland Cypress (Rear Garden) Fell to ground level. Reason for Works: The tree is situated in very close proximity to the adjacent outbuilding. As the tree has matured, the stem has increased to a diameter at breast height (DBH) of approximately 40 cm and is now in direct contact with the structure, causing abrasion and damage to the building. Due to the ongoing increase in stem diameter, further structural damage is considered likely if the tree is retained. The proposed removal is therefore necessary to prevent additional damage while maintaining the safety and integrity of the adjacent structure. T2 Lawson Cypress (Rear Garden) Remove one large declining lateral limb and carry out a crown clean to remove all deadwood throughout the canopy. Reason for Works: A substantial lateral limb is in decline, exhibiting extensive dieback and a significant reduction in live foliage. The removal of this limb is proposed to reduce the risk of branch failure and improve the tree's overall condition. In addition, deadwood will be removed throughout the crown to eliminate potential hazards, improve canopy health, and form part of routine arboricultural management.
