Their position and aspect is open to the prevailing southwesterly winds. In order to reduce the windage on these trees the following works are requested. Removal of dead wood, crossing and rubbing branches. Thin the where required remove duplicate branches and reduce the crowns by no more than 10%. Crown raise where appropriate between 2 and 4 metres. Similar works were carried out on these Oaks in the spring of 2011. The Oaks are marked on the attached plan as number 1, 2 and 3. Oak number 2 requires only minor works.
