Decided Buckinghamshire PL/25/3400/TP Works to trees covered by TPO

Works: Trees

Decided. The decision notice on the council portal carries the outcome in full, including any conditions.

Proposal

Large Acacia at the end of a cul de sac, in close proximity to housing. The tree is in decline with lots of dead wood, lost bark and signs of a fungus. I am concerned that the dead wood could break off in high winds and damage surrounding gardens and properties and the recommendation is that this tree should be felled. Photographs as well as two quotations from accredited arboriculturists are attached Site

About trees applications

How this application type works

Tree applications cover work to protected trees: those under a tree preservation order need consent for pruning or felling, and trees in a conservation area need six weeks written notice before work starts. The council assesses the amenity value of the tree and can refuse consent, approve it with conditions, or in conservation areas make a preservation order in response.
