Blickling Hall Estate Barn Blickling Road Blickling NR11 6NF
1. Sycamore (at 33 Silvergate) - fell because of excessive included bark in the main stem, weight largely towards the property and overhanging garden shed. 2. Sycamore (at 70/71 Ingworth) - fell because of included bark and evidence of large pocket of rot in and around the main union, also heavily leaning over garden outbuilding. 3. Oak (at 64 Woodgate) - fell because of potential risk to residents caused by sudden branch drop pertaining to brown cubical rot in the main stem and branches; crown dying back excessively. 4. Sycamore (above School Lane near Main Car Park) - Almost complete crown dieback over the past 12 months, little or no leaf cover this summer; mainly crown overhangs main visitor route from the hall and park. 5. Horse chestnut (Dell corner of Lake Walk) - fell because of major dysfunction in the main stem and crown failure, and overextended limbs over a permissive footpath.

Currently the tree is 12m high and has a spread of 12m, after the reduction, tree will be approx 10m tall and have a spread of 8m Reason for the work is to stop the tree from out growing its space, reduce spread and overhang over footpath and to reduce weight and windsail amongst the canopy to reduce risk of branches breaking in high wind.
